Case Management Software
The three components are:
1. Case/Client workbook - The case workbook acts as the central coordinator for all data related to the case and the client. This section tracks all client background information and documentation; game planning, theory, and "to do lists;" opposing client and counsel data; background and discovery; witnesses, interrogatories, and depositions; case law and statutory law research; time and expense billing; communications and correspondence; filings, motions, pleadings, and inter-office communication; clerical activity and case conclusion checklists; and more. For the newcomer to the legal profession this workbook provides an entire case in a fill-in-the-blank checklist that helps you display your professionalism to the client, and prevents you from missing important detail. For the seasoned veteran, this workbook provides an organized template to record the details you know to go after, and it makes it much, much easier to delegate important assignments to those working with you.
2. The Investigation Work Book -In court, good attorneys will never ask a question to which they do not already know the answer. The investigation workbook provides a complete "investigation in a box" to either assist your in-house staff with the details of an investigation or to help you set specific parameters for outside vendors.Just as The Attorney Case File is set to work virtually any type of case, the Investigation Workbook is capable of working any type of investigation. The highly detailed tools contained in this component are the result of years of experience from professional investigators. These tools range in scope from a 40-page Subject Data File (a complete fill-in-the-blank dossier on a human being), The Investigative Data Sheets that provide the background necessary to launch an investigation, through witness interview and affidavit tools, surveillance reports, witness locates, crime scene analysis, business asset and due diligence, and more.
3. The Trial Note Book. Though not all cases wind up in court, this is one tool that is much better to have and not need than to need and not have. Therefore, it's an integral component of this system.
The Trial Notebook helps you organize the materials gathered while using the Case & Client Workbook and the Investigation Workbook in preparation for a court appearance, whether this appearance is a simple hearing or a full jury trial. This section focuses on the trial-specific nature of your case and helps you organize its presentation. Better yet, this section helps you organize all your other court-related intel such as discovery materials, jury selection notes, court journals, opening and closing statements, and more.
The one item, I like best about this program over ANY other on the market is, simple, you purchase the program for $ 249.95 and that includes your license, there are NO other license to buy. Simply put, that is ALL you have to spend on this program. VERY reasonable in price and no other license required. You can purchase this program for one office, and install it on as many computers at that address that you want.
Every other software program on the market, requires a license for each computer it is installed in. When I worked for a law firm in Arkansas, we spent $ 990.00 for Time Matters 3.0 back in 2003 and then spent another $ 330.00 for EACH license to install it on 6 more computers. What started out as a small investment, quickly became $ 2970.00, and then the attorney I worked for had to send me to Cary, North Carolina, to become Time Matters Certified at their school, so that I could come home and program the system in a language that has to be used for Time Matters, this added another $ 1700.00 to the price. The Arkansas Time Matters Consultant wanted $ 3600.00 to come to our office and program Time Matter for us. All said and done we spent $ 4670.00 on a program that was upgraded a year later and then we had to buy the new version, because Time Matters would not support the old version after two years.
If this sounds like a sales pitch, IT IS. The designer and owner of this program contacted me personally, and offered me a position as an Affiliate selling this product.
"In an economic era where every industry, every profession, and every business must become more financially prudent than ever while continuing to improve their service in order to compete, it's more important than ever to get the best value and most use of even the smallest investment."
The legal profession, more than others, has seen a glut of over-priced and under-performing products. Purveyors tend to raise prices, add fine print to agreements, and pad the expenses simply because the legal profession - to outsiders - is highly lucrative and their inflated prices are what the market will bear.
Those days have passed. And yet, there is one product that does not need to change in order to fit the new financial climate felt by today's legal professional. That product is "The Attorney Case File - The Ultimate Case Management System."
The best part, this product is USER friendly, no training required. You can program it yourself.
